Snow anyone??... anyone?

So Christmas came and went, kind of like the snow but, the snow and ice stayed a little longer than everyone wanted. The boys loved looking out the windows(which reminds me: note to self, Clean windows) we got about 20 inches and downtown Centralia got 15 inches in One night! Then it changed to Freezing Rain, Oh fun!! Power went in and out then it started to thaw out. Flooding wasn't as bad as we thought so, finally back to normal (a few hours of sun and lots of rain)

I just put up this photo, well...Because I like it! A pretty good depiction of us in the snow, minus the laser guns.

Charlie, getting ready for school to start and this is what he wanted to wear! Nice, but not quite appropriate something is missing?..... Oh yeah, pants!

This is Logan, nothing too special except I love this picture of him, soooo cute!

Aww, we had sun for 3 weeks and it was Great!! Charlie found out how the hose worked and he was very responsiable with it (who are you and what have you done with Charlie?) I did how ever have the water turned down so he really couldn't do to much damage (mainly soak me!)

Where there is a pool there Logan making a mud-puddle, he loves doing this any chance he can get. Logan: Oh, dirt is looks dry... Oh, theres some water.. I wonder what the water will look like when I put the water on the dry dirt? Oh, Wow it does that!! Well, I will put some grass in there and mix it with my finger, wonder what that will do?

Yeah, this can go on for hours because thats what he enjoys doing and hey, if water and dirt does that I am happy too!

Bryndon just turned one, he had so much fun with all the wrapping he was entertained for hours!

Wow, 4 yrs old! The time flew bye, what a summer too or the lack of one but a full week of 70 plus weather isn't that bad either! We had a blast having our friends and family over to celebrate their b-day and the boys were thrilled with all the decorations and people to show-off to.

Mickey was apparently the best theme since that's mostly what they watch now. The ears they're wearing took no convincing to wear they were happy to put them on but, I have to admit I was wearing them so that probably helped(and I'm behind the camera so, Yeah). The boys still won't eat the cake with frosting on it but they had fun counting the cupcakes.

Dad got out too and Logan had no problem with picking up where their friendship. Logan thought it would be a good idea to give Dad a better view of the T.V. and we thought it might be better to put the locks on Dad's wheels! Though Dad liked that Logan tried to make a brake for it!:)

Finally, we ate all we could and played as much as you could possiably could. We all slept very well that night! Thanks for you guys who could make it and those who coudn't you were missed and maybe we'll see ya next time!

So the ride there was a little warm and so was the ride back! We did pretty good, a fit from Charlie both ways and all he wanted was a little playtime(who could blame him) We stopped off at a McDonalds playland area and ate lunch and was on our way again.

Logan is a very good travel buddy, doesn't get car sick (oops, that was me and Charlie through the whitepass area, we made it through without anything coming up!) Oh, so Logan did Great on the drive, he also did like that we had a stop to play too.

We stayed at Susan's house for two nights and played at this Monster playground! The boys loved the playpark and we went back several times while we were there.

This is Lydia or I like to call her the sleepy one, since she slept most of the time while her brothers and 2nd cousins played or got in trouble (which wasn't all that bad).

Oh Kellen, what a big man and a little mans body! Such a sweet lil' guy until he flings heavy and hard toys at your head, not meaning to hurt you but man he has an arm, he just doesn't know how strong he is:)

Payton, knows what he wants and wants what he wants, now(but doesn't every 3 yr old)! He's very smart, very opinionated and very cute! The boys did help him understand the joys of leaving the train tracks and several ways to play with the trains while we were there.

The day before leaving we took all the boys and went bowling, Wow was I surprised on how well all the boys did. They didn't mind the awful shoes and picked up the ball without many problems! The waiting for a turn to bowl was the hardest but, they all did great!

Finally the ride back, no one got car sick , the roads were pretty good and we were happy to see our beds and be back home! Yeah, we did it and live to tell the tale!;)

It's the 4th of July!

In the words of Homer Simpson: Woo, WHO!!
It's the 4Th of July and everyone on Mike and Sarah's' block has a ton of fireworks! First things first, we BBQ and get the playing, food , drinks and conversations done before the show. The sun doesn't set until 9:30pm so we had plenty of time to get the other stuff out of the way.

OK, it got a little too loud and scary for Logan and Charlie, they did however like the fireworks that were a few blocks away but the one at my brothers place wasn't as fun. Next year, Earmuffs or Earplugs for the kiddos!

Poor Charlie, loved the look of them but the sound was too much! We went inside after 10mins, he didn't even want to watch from the window!

Such good spectators, that is before the sound of the fireworks were going. They had great seats and managed to sit down for awhile.

Gearhart OR, it's the Bob and Audrey family reunion! All the family came out and spent 3 days together in a large rental home with several rooms and one long hallway the kiddos could not help but to Run through any chance they got.
We also celebrated the 50Th Yes 5-0! Anniversary of Bob and Audrey's marriage and their kids gave them a wonderful memory book full of pictures of old and young.
We had one very sunny afternoon and all the boys took full advantage and headed out to the beach and I went to the shops with Deanna and Audrey to walk around and enjoy the tourist stuff.

Hanging out watching a movie with Gracie, Jonathan,Charlie and Logan is out of frame but he's there.

Jennifer, Stormy and Blake were visiting for a month and we got to hangout and play around the house. I think Stormy has some fans! The boys quickly warmed up to her and she was more than happy to play with them.

I have mention Mrs. Hops, Blake named my frog I had(8yrs old) never named it so I told him he could come up with one.

Mr. Blake- stood still for me to take a picture, so when he goes back home I can show the boys what their cousin looks like after they head back. Good pose Blake!

We all had a hand in building the train tracks and Blake and Logan enjoyed playing with each other, well...more like playing near each other. They still had a blast!

So one morning the boys got bored and decided to play under the bed sheet and all I heard was giggling coming from the other room, so I knew something was up. This lasted about 15 Min's. long. Boy were they tired after that! Enjoy!-posted a smaller video on FB too.

School is out, Time to dance!

Ah, the school year is over! What's that, I have to watch my boys 24 hrs a day again! Oh no, well the dance was quick and fun...while it lasted!

Time to visit some family folks, get some swimming under our belts and get some grown up beds for the boys. We have a lot on our plates this summer but, we are planning on going to Montana and seeing Gregg, Kris, and family also Susan of course for about a week. The traveling shouldn't be too bad and hopefully the weather will workout so we can have some fun outdoors!

It will probably will be a while for the next posting, so bare with us while the summer is looking busy and hopefully I'll have pictures to show how busy.

Anyone else planning on traveling, take it easy and have a safe journey!

The Portland Zoo, again

Lots of fun at the zoo and the boys really enjoyed the otters and penguins. We got a good view of the Black bears and wolfs. We are handling the time at the zoo alot better, staying longer with out a major meltdown.

The day we had gone there was a class of 1st graders having their lunch on a open grass area and Logan got down there and decided to run,run,run and a little boy was happy to run around with Logan, this lasted about 15 mins(2 hours mom time). They had fun and it was time to see the elephants anyway.

If you look carefully there some antlers on those heads!

Great drumming from Charlie, he has a natural beat in him! All I got a say is More Cowbell, Logan!

Someones personal space was invaded, the invader was not thrilled either, so funny they put up with me and trying to get a nice picture of them together and this is what I get:)

So by now every one in the family knows Logan and Charlie are on the Autism Spectrum. Logan is going to have a harder and longer time learning his social and verbal skills than his brother Charlie. That being said, they are improving leaps and bounds in Pre-school and are impressing their teacher and the specialist every week.

For me I am trying to get into a ABA program (Applied Behavioral Analysis) with the help of the school and their specialist. ABA is basically a learning and teaching form of different approaches of skills that a child with learning disabilities can adapt to or learn from and use in everyday life (depending on what the child is needing at the time, potty-training, drinking from a cup, looking a the person who's talking to them, etc..) This is not a Fix-It program (some people think it is) but it can be a Great tool for the boys to learn in a way that is fun and social, if they enjoy doing it, I'm all for it!

I have found that some days are a lot harder than others (for any parent)and not to take the small things they can do for granted. I am their advocate and will be their voice and try to be as clear as possible to do what is best and also push them to their limit without major meltdowns.

So summer is coming and I'm going to see if I can get them into a swimming(getting used to deeper water) class. Trying to find a patient person who is skilled at working with disabilities and or Autistic children. Wish me luck!!

It's a great day to have a Parade!

The flowers were out and so was the sun! Beautiful weather at Long beach and they had their annual May day Parade, little did we know we would get by the end of the day (Bin Ladin met his maker). We enjoyed the boardwalk and people flying their kites, bikes and horses.

So this is our 10th anniversary, that's right we are getting OLD!! No kiddos on this trip, but they had fun at Grandma and Papa Protheros House while we were gone for the day and a half. The trip back was raining and very windy. We packed up and headed back to our boys and back to reality!! D'oh!

No Eggagerations!

Off we went to Mike and Sarah's for an Awesome Brunch and Egg hunt. We had a smaller turnout of children(colds) but that just meant more eggs for the rest. A slow start for the boys but soon enough we had Charlie picking up eggs in no time. Logan had the idea that we were making him clean up the yard (in a way he's totally right) he took a little longer but started to get the idea to keep the eggs in the basket and there's Candy in those eggs! Jackpot!!

Corbin, made out like a bandit!! The slow start of the boys and one other much younger boy helped Corbin get in his opportunity, he did great and found some pretty hard eggs hiding in the trees and bushes. The rain did not dampen their spirits to going outside and the hunt was over just in time for the rain to start again.

It has come to my attention the boys are growing at super speed and as such we need to buy bigger beds(coming soon). Oh of course, they are about an 1 apart in height so Two beds at the same time is what we have to do. I think they will enjoy their new found freedom and explore the new rules of staying in bed. We have dusting mits on our feet and they're fun! Oh but we have to walk carefully!!

Our long time friend Megan has a babyshower for her daughter Evelyn (3months) she lives farther away so we had one at her mothers house (better late than never). We had lots of fun and Evelyn liked the company.

Okay, so we have apples and mud. Not the same day but intertaining non the less. Both boys plow through apples like nobody's business. So I have to keep an eye on them or they eat the whole thing. Yes the whole apple!

Finally the mud! We had a bad day at school : teacher had a baby so we are with a sub(shes good but not their teacher), confrences are this week so the shedule is off, it's been raining on and off for months! So whats a boy to do but throw a Huge fit while leaving school. Yeah, melt-down city came and apparently I'm the mayor of this place and have to find something to get Logan to come back to normal-ville. Answer: MUD!!

The mud sutes them, don't ya think!

So it's March and good thing to, the Wet weather is beyond annoying. Now we have wind and rain already hitting us early this month, at lest it's not snowing!Yet. That being said I cannot wait for the sun and see a blue sky( lasting more than 10min's).

Here in the west we had to be on a tsunami watch because of the Japan 8.9 earthquake luckily it had been only 4 ft higher than normal thankfully not many people went out to see the larger waves and became victims themselves. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Japan, so sad and all you can do is watch on the t.v. what is happening. For the people who don't know, there is a military base set in Japan and lots of family and friends are waiting for loved ones to reach them. I think this is so hard to even wrap our heads around, so I guess we pray for finding survivors and hope they work together in rebuilding their country, brick by brick.

On a much lighter note, Charlies new hero is Alex Trebek, he pretends to talk to contestants and claps for himself and then he mixes in Wheel of Fortune and says a letter and pretends the couch cushion's are the letter screens. Very funny, no pics he's camera shy when he does this.

Logan has been more vocal, not verbal though he has been trying more and more lately. He is still very much into Thomas and is starting to put letters together and finding out that they make words, my little sponges. Also Logan has been more interested in looks at the books he picks out and taking more time to go through them before bedtime, Yeah.

This is the best picture out of over 50 taken by my patient friend(Kristin) who help take some family photos for me. Bless her heart, we had Logan doing pretty well and Charlie wanted nothing to do with it.

So all in all, I think we did pretty well for two 3yr olds and no one ended up in a white jacket. I hope this helps any one who has kiddos that a picture is more than a moment in time, it's proof that you survived the day! Good luck and God speed!!

Logan and Charlie decided it was time for a morning ride, granted it was 8am they enjoyed them selves for a couple hours, yes I said hours!

Charlie is helping by towing his brother from the wall. Logan is grateful and gives Charlie reason to be a helper a few times during his ride. They are getting too big for these toys.

So the boys decided to Drum in the holidays Matthew McConaghey style, except clothed and only high on sugar! We had a LONG year, hence the word long in Caps. The boys are going to Pre-school twice a week and are doing better at me leaving and them staying. Still potty training but I will not be defeated, at this pace I don't have a choice, but I do have a helper at their school that is helping in the area and others for Logan and Charlies speech and developmental needs at school which is a Huge help!!

Charlies speech has increased but so have the tantrums, normal for a three yr old. He is also growing like a weed so I'm sure the testing and fits are the growing pains.

Logan's speech is coming along but learned that he will need additional help with learning techniques that are more common with children with Autism, so baby steps and different way of learning for me.

See they can sit and be civil, well at least for a few moments.

Pumkin farms, we had gone to three this year and had fun at all of them, the days were just warm enough to really enjoy the outdoors. The boys also took their first Pre-K fieldtrip, plus the first School Bus ride, they did So Great!!

The father and daughter dance, so sweet. My sister Sharon and Dad did very well for only 3 legs on that floor. What a wonderful world was playing for their dance.

Got to have a picture with the beautiful bride. We had a long day getting things done, so we played hard after the ceremony was over, PARTY ON!

They have done very well in their In tot classes and their signs have been frequent with things that they want or notice, which is nice to know what they pay attention to.

Happy Holidays people! What a year! So here is all the pictures that explained the need to not travel too far with twins, the facts: A. Adam, Ted and Jean came to Washington. Very fun to play with their cousin. Fact B. Nothing says Christmas like a fence around a tree for the trees' sake. ( still had some bulbs broke) Fact C. It's better take some one else present than your own, just do it when they're not looking, Uh, ahem (Charlie) and Finally Fact D. When the forces of nature that is your kiddos are getting tired there is a nice crib awaiting for them to put some tears into bed and take a much needed nap! Happy 2010! Good Luck!

Halloween night, was fun the boys did really well and loved being outside close to the sun coming down. Logan did knock on a door, but also wanted inside other peoples homes. We had a little party with Mike,Sarah, Sharon , Ben and Sarah's family. Then it was time to go home. The boys slept well that night!

Matthews birthday was on the family reunion so we had a party for all the 2yr old and they really enjoyed getting singing cards and books.

This is what we do at 10am when it gets about 100 degrees outside by 1pm, we play early and end up indoors the rest of the day, go AC. With the upside of making eggs on the pavement, diaper babies, and seeing people on the news waiting in line for an air conditioner, it will be sad to hear within a week or two that the rain, wind or clouds are annoying us(Washingtonians) again and where did the sunny days go.

I had started this quilt in late of 2002 for Jennifer and well time and money got in the way of finishing it, but Audrey's sister Judy was starting to quilt again and offered to finish it for me since two kiddos weren't making the project finish it's self, so Judy came to my rescue and the quilt looks great.

Logan found out that our entertainment center is very entertaining and when Charlie saw what was happening , well monkey see monkey do.

So this is our backyard and a few times a week we get a deer going through. They stop for a few minutes and eat a couple flowers and their on their way again. The boys like to see them , but lose interest quickly.

Happy Birthday Corbin!

There was birthday bash in Corbin's name and we all played, ate, and laughed. Thomas the tank engine was the theme and our boys had really hard time seeing Thomas the pinata getting beaten up, but other than that every one had fun with every one else and Missy.

Corbin had some great gifts and was not disappointed for a minute. The party lasted longer than the boys did so we went home to get the boys to sleep and the party continued until there was no sun light left.

I'd say Corbin had a good party.

Summer Lovin' Had me a Blast!

Summer is here and it's here to stay! Those Texans brought the heat!

Jen, Stormy and Blake came back to the homestead and had lots of things to do and people to visit. We had played in the backyard 5 days straight for at least 3hours, for not being 2 yrs yet that a lot of playing.

The parents , Jen, kids, Sharon and Ben went to Westport and hung out on the beach, had lunch, bought some Salt water taffy and of course climbed the lookout tower( have to do it, if your in Westport) it has a slight breeze at the top, hehehee.

Later that week most of us went up to see Steve at Emerald Downs, we saw the awesome view that Steve has almost everyday. Ours boys liked seeing the John Deere trackers wetting down the track and running the fence line, but that was it. We left early, for every one's sake.

Mom, Jen, Stormy and Blake stayed, they watched a lot of races and Jen bet on a few and won a couple extra dollars.

In the Month of June Jean and Adam paid us visit. The warm weather stayed a while longer and so we had Mike , Corbin and their dog Missy come down for a play date with Adam and the boys.

We decided to play at the playgrounds for a bit , but lingering on the grounds were three, ten year old girls that loved babying the all the boys and wanted to help them out, ( you try telling ten yr old girls that they need to learn, and do things on there own, it's like explaining to chimp that it can have only one banana, it's not going to happen) the boys were fine with them as long as they kept there distance.

After playing there, we decided to cool them off by playing in the water. All the boys had fun running in and out of the water and getting a surprise of water in the face wasn't too bad on a warm day.

Finally we called it a day and went home.

The boys and parents were invited to cool down at Aunt Sharon and Ben's place. Charlie loved relaxing in the pool and Logan was to excited to relax. They played in what god gave them and they didn't mind one minute.

This warm weather has been nice, but with nice weather lasting so long, I keep expecting down pour in the forecast any day now.

We have moved out of our home and are living in the new home. I will send mailing addresses out soon.

Here we have a new found Charlie enjoying the wooden rocking horse.

Oh yes, Charlie is drooling and no, I did not put oil (or grease)on him.

This is Jonathan, 4 yrs old, the boys didn't know what to do , but Jon, Jon did. He was very sweet to the boys and took brakes from them and did some kid friendly computer games.

We have Logan here, the orange wrench and blue hammer were rarely out of Logan's hands. So now I know what to get him for his birthday.

This is Jonathan driving around at Fun land. It won't be to long before he is behind the wheel.

This is Matthew, he is two weeks older than the boys and talks very well and sings "Twinkle twinkle little star" like a pirate, all the "R's" were fun to hear. If you thought the boys hair was curly!

This reminded me of Blake, I'm not scared, I'm just closing my eyes. -Logan

We had the privilege of riding Thomas The Engine. The boys liked seeing other characters and waving at other people.

Matthew and Dee were driving behind Jonathan saying "I gonna get you"!

Logan liked the Thomas ride much better, no eyes being covered up.

All the boys road Harvey the Helicopter from Thomas the engine shows .

More info on the actual trip. In Oregon we stopped by for a stretch and some lunch at Jason , Lindsay and Gwen's home, we also met up with Gary and Sue there. The boys did pretty well until Charlie pulled Gwen off a toy, she was fine but shocked on how she ended up on the floor so quickly. That was our sign to get back on the road. We stopped for the night in Medford for the trip down and back up, the boys loved the hotel rooms and had to check out every thing.

The meeting with Dee, Jonathan, and Matthew was good and the boys took to their toys quickly. David came home later after work and Charlie warmed up to him first and loved to show him how well he could dance and did so, often. Logan had his moments of behaving very well and other times not so much. He warmed up to Dee the day before leaving, of course. We did manage to get them off the milk bottle all together, cold turkey YEAH!

We had the boys take baths several more times then they usually do and we didn't get any complaints from them, so we were all happy with extra bath time. With them getting their hair cut, the tub was helpful to calm them.

Finally before we knew it, it was time to go back to Washington and head into the rain and clouds greeting us at the boarder.

Easter Time

Charlie on the other hand found one egg then proceeded to play with whatever seemed fun at the time.

Again there are many ways I can go with these pictures, so I'll let you people reading and seeing their pictures come to your own conclusions. ( what is it about boys and sticks?)

Corbin had no problem and did a great job finding the rest of the eggs that the boys left on the ground. ( you can't tell he had fun, huh)

After finding the eggs and playing outside, Grandma let the boys help plant some flowers. They really enjoyed the hand shovel, but were confused about why they needed to put the plants into the planters box.

Logan has found that he can have fun spinning into his old crib-boarder and falling down and doing it again.

Charlie has picked out a basketball a few weeks ago, he loves to play with it until he takes his nap and when he wakes up he's ready to find the ball and play again.

We are at the point that getting out of the house is necessary for staying sane. So we packed up the boys and visited some friends down in Oregon. The trip down was nice and we only had to stop once for lunch and stretch out our legs.

Our plan was to go to the Portland zoo or go to the Children's Museum depending on the weather for the next day. The next morning we look out the window and it's snowing? Oh well the Children's Museum it is, the boys did great, Logan really enjoyed the Bob the Builder area and Charlie enjoyed the wandering around with Aaron and they both had fun at the water area even though the water spray was at their face level.

Aaron and I enjoyed talking to adults again and the many mishaps of our kids. We also were introduced to the game Rock Band, for those who don't know what that is I'll try to explain. It's playing fake instruments : guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. The point is to try to hit the keys and play together like a band it's weird but, fun.

What makes two boys this tired at the end of the day, well take a look

It was a great sunny day to visit Grandma Audrey's house, so we played outside for awhile.

At grandmas house there is a old bathtub outside in with her flowers, I don't think Logan cares as long as he gets to steer (shower faucet).

Logan and Charlie went over to check out the vegetable garden and the fencing that was keeping them from pulling out all the wonderful new plants they've never seen.

Charlie thought that all the dirt hills on the ground wasn't right, so he decided to fix the problem.

The boys in the cotton hats was a different day and much colder, but did not stop the boys from having a good time.( Logan in brown, Charlie in green)

Logan in the Burgundy jacket and Charlie is in the bright Red "awesome" Spider man jacket ( I was told by a four yr old boy) in a waiting room, better then a 4o yr old comic guy.

Well the boys are taking advantage of their curious nature and decided that they need to see what all the rocks and brown puddles were for. Charlie took to the rocks first then saw a small puddle to get into, this lasted for about 10Min's.

Logan on the other hand saw the rocks and after being told several times that the rocks are not to be put in his mouth, he thought maybe the rose bushes would be a better idea, I know this does not sound like a good idea, but he didn't get poked once by the thorns, that was a surprise.

So if you have in accident prone child, put him in a room full of needles and he won't be hurt, but put him in a room with everything padded and put up out of reach and he'll hit his head or get hurt some how? I mean really, God must have a sense of humor.

Charlie and Logan had a play mat just like this when they were smaller and I think Charlie is reminiscing about the good old days of laying around with toys at your fingertips.

We had spent the night with friends in Oregon. Charlie is learning that the car you drive does matter to the lady's (lilly).

I think at this point Logan has a square to spare.

Look at those cheek's, sick looking with a fever for about 1o days and yes you can still see a slight bruise on Logan's forehead. This is how we rung in the new year, we all got the cold and Charlie ended with an ear infection and a mountain of diapers, yeah.

Okay this is getting to be ridiculous, this picture is the Chehalis river which I nicknamed the Ocean. We were heading towards Galvin to see how close the water was to us.

This is Borst Park and for those who know that these trees are usually a good distant from the pond. The ducks were having a great time with there new and expanded pond.

We are high and dry. Besides the cabin fever we are doing fine and the water in Centralia and Chehalis are not as high as last year, but has closed down I-5 for twenty miles. The rain is slowed down and the other rivers are to crest today. So we will be able to move about town in a few days.

Christmas 2008 at Grandpas

Here we are again, Christmas at Grandpa's house. When all showed up, we rapidly increased in number and piled into the dining and living area, ate and talked about what trouble we got our selves into in the last 6 months.

The kiddos needed some time to relax and get comfortable, Charlie had to attach himself to me for a about an hour, after that he did really well, it was also the same for Gwen to Lindsay. Logan was happy to see the Christmas tree and all the dogs; no attachment issues with him.

Towards the end the kids were past tired and the adults were burning up because of all the body heat. Several of us decided it was time to pack back up. I think the longest travel out of us all was Laura and Joe, they had to drive up to Seattle that night. The rest of us had spent the night at Grandpa's or traveled home. Aaron ,the boys and I decided to visit some friends and stay there for the night. We all had a great time and we hope to see you all at the Family Reunion.

In the words of the TICK: SPOOON! In most of Logans pictures you can see him carrying the wooden spoon everywhere, so be on the look out. If Aaron and I knew that a wooden spoon made him this happy we would've gotten him some.

Charlie is slowly getting better and their were many things that made him happy; Curious George, juice, and crackers. Charlie also had many things that made him very, very upset like, anything. After a nap on a beanbag chair he did pretty well and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Steve came down, with a travel that took him 3hrs when normaly it takes 1 1/2 hr. When we got to the parents home Steve was shoveling snow, so I got another shovel and hepled for about a half hour after that I decided to take the Xterra in 4 wheel drive and pack it down ( so much easier and faster).

Sharon and Ben showed up, with the understanding that they had their work cut out for them to help entertain the boys and to help eat all the food.

Mike, Sarah, and Corbin came to the house later and Corbin was Moms exchange, she did not disapoint him, Sarah and Mike came home with many more gifts.

Everybody opened gifts, ate, and watched The Christmas Story, all is well and ready for the New Year.

Out of all the snow on the ground Logan finds the only leaf and is his favorite thing for now.

This is the boys three days ago, which means before the extra 6 inches of snow. Logan took to the snow like a winter rabbit and Charlie, well Charlie is almost like a cat and water, willing to drink it , but playing in it for fun, not so sure.

So with all the snow and ice we are all stuck home and that means amusing ourselves with what we have. I know what Cabin Fever is now, but this way I have a ton of time to update photos and videos of the boys.

Logan still has a nice bruise on his head that is now turning into a black eye, but the doctor said that would expected. As for Charlie he got checked out and the doc. says that it's probably a stomach virus and to do what were doing.

So it Snows

The boys like seeing the snow out the window, so I put them in Logans crib and they enjoyed it until the snow stopped falling ( for 5Min's) and playing outside the crib ensued. The snow is only about 3 inches now, but we will see how much really falls by tomorrow morning.

This picture is out of the boys window upstairs. I always like the outside when it snows, it looks cleaner, or fresh.

Oh my gosh STILL TEETHING, Logan is eating up his animal book and maybe when he gets all his teeth, the drool will stop.

Charlie, you are more like your mother than you'd like to know. This is why I have no bookshelf's for him to crawl up, but he'll find what he can.

For those who don't know, I used to climb very tall, and very wobbly bookshelves at his age and this is how my mom is repaid for giving her a heart attack every time I climbed. I get to live with Charlie climbing everything and anything Good Old Karma.

Charlie pulled down the blanket and Logan thought it would make a good Tug of War game. Charlie was not amused by Logan's' game and was crying until he saw another toy, all was well again.

I can see it now Logan and Charlie blaming each other for something they were not supposed to do and so it begins.

Thanksgiving began at Aaron's parents and the boys played with their toys and Charlie had his chance to climb the stairs and play with their cousin Gracie. Charlie took his nap here, while Aaron, Logan and I ate. He slept over 2 hours, wow did he play hard.

Then we packed up and drove over to my parents home where Charlie was making up for the meal he skipped and Logan took advantage of the warm stove and took his nap. Aaron and I were getting dessert.

Finally Logan woke up had little bit more food and so did Charlie. We packed up again and went home, then fell asleep.

Aaron and I had started to Christmas shop and we saw these enormous John Deere mugs and the boys wanted to them check out. The mugs weren't heavy and the boys thought it was neat to see some thing so large.

So here they are as the terrifying dinosaurs you may think their cute, but they got fangs and no holy grenade are taking these guys down. As soon as you see teeth run, run for your life!

Aaron's parents (Cinderella and Prince Charming) were no match for them the cuteness was over whelming before we new it there was slobber everywhere, oh the horror, the horror.

Finally the dinosaurs showed a weak point, rubbing of the eyes so we had to act quickly. We put them in the car seats and they fell fast asleep. Mom and Dad celebrated quietly of course and we all slept happily until.... The next morning, but that's another story.

We decided that the weather is not going to get better so to the pumpkin patch we went. We put the boys in the cart and the pumpkin farm had two dogs, brown and yellow they both were with the boys the whole time making sure we were finding what they needed so if the boys aren't looking at the camera they are looking at the dogs. Charlie and Logan really enjoyed the ride and the dogs, they also picked out there own pumpkins with the help of mom and dad directing them to the smaller pumpkins.

Logan dove into the cake like a pro and was confused about the mess mom was letting him get away with, but who cares about that when cake is in hand.
Charlie on the other hand, well lets just say frosting is not his friend so ice cream took over and saved the day.
Adam was perfectly happy with the pieces of wrapping paper, with the vigilant eyes of mom ( Jean) grabbing before dissolving in to the mouth.

The boys had a great experiance at the beach at the reunion with the cousins now that they are more able to play other than roll. It made it fun to watch them interact. All the parents were running on fumes; we some how kept them active and as happy as they were going to get.

We all left happy and healthy but for those who don't know the day after we had gone from Seaside our Hotel was in Gearhart 1 mile away from Seaside. A plane had taken off from the Seaside Airport and had engine problems and crashed into a rental home in the town of Gearhart , with children sleeping inside, sad to say 5 people died, 2 people in the plane and 3 children. Aaron's sister and brother in-law (Allen) were still in town and heard the crash and Allen was one of the first people on the scene to help the parents in their time of need. So I would like to say that our hearts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones.

The boys are getting faster and faster everyday Charlie's speed keeping up with the green ball, I'm sure his drool on the floor makes it easier to glide on the hard surfaces.
Logan is slower at crawling, but that dosn't bother him as long as he gets the toy. It's just a matter of time before he's faster then Charlie.

The boys are doing Great, teething still and getting more comfortable at bath time (wow, thank goodness) to the point they are actually enjoying it. The boys are teething and are having good days and very tired, frustrating days. They are both rolling over onto their bellies and grabbing at whatever they can reach even if it's someones ear, hair, or arms. They love books and their jumper. Their 6 month check up is coming up so I'll get the weight and other milestones that are coming up in the very near future.

Charlie is starting to eat his rice cereal, this was our third attempt at it and I guess the third time is the magic charm.

Sharon had her birthday party at a Chinese restaurant with as much family you could fill. The boys enjoyed all the attention they could get, they slept well that night.

Logan may look terrified that he has this coat on , but it's Charlie out the camera shot crying to get his coat off. Logan fell asleep not even a minute later.

Logan and Charlie are getting bigger which is still a surprise because they're getting too big, my muscles haven't caught up. Logan is rolling onto his belly, but can't get back onto his back yet. To start Mike, Sarah, Andy, and Corbin came down to do Christmas early. Everyone was filled with joy and ham for the next two days. Charlie is getting stronger and is surprised at his results. He weighs about 18 lbs. we are told that most one year olds are about that weight so were thinking Charlie will be a linebacker for the Seahawks .
Logan on the other hand is 16 lbs. and he'll be the quaterback or a runningback. There doing great and theres no way of knowing they were 5 weeks early.

Logan and Charlie had their first doctor visit today, they were weighed and had their 2nd bili rueben test (Jondis) - we'll know the results of the blood test on monday, but the weigh in went VERY good. They are back up to their birth weight! Woot! :D

Yes, I am that tired. Getting a few hours sleep here and there, but when you got two boys who eat every 2-3 hours, its tough. They have to be finger fed, which means you take a little tube into their mouth next to your finger and they suck on your finger. We can't wait until their mouths are big enough to "latch" on more. Feeding time will be MUCH easier when that happens. Off for another feeding....

Both boys are doin good...Charlie has been totally taken off the oxygen and his constant monitor. He still has a few antibiotics to run, so we'll probably be here through the weekend. Their doc says if their bloodwork they had this morning comes back good, they will probably go home this Sunday! :D I will try to upload a few more pics tonight, I've got a really cute one of them snuggling with each other in the same basinett...I'll upload that one.

Please help me in welcoming Logan Michael Prothero and Charles Aaron Prothero to the world!! Weighing in at 4 lbs 7 oz, Logan is mr. calm until its feeding time, and weighing in at 5lbs 11 oz, Charles has been on oxygen up until about 2 hours ago - YAY.

Charlie is doing MUCH better now and will join Logan and us in Amanda's room probably in about an hour.They were both born at 3am via c-section on Tuesday morning - August 15th. Amanda is doing great and eating normal foods again. Here's some pictures - and since I'm at the hospital, they limit the upload stuff, so this is all I can upload at the moment.I'll post again tomorrow with more info!

Okay Dave, I finally made a blog!

Amanda is doing good, she's 34 weeks and 5 days and the doctor told us last Tuesday that we'll probably do a scheduled c-section around 38 weeks! I'll post some images of Amanda's growing belly sometime this week. We have another doctor appointment this Thursday, so I'll post what news we have after that.
